When the new TIF was passed for Prophetstown, a concept was born but no actual plans were imminent. Rock River Lumber & Grain was awarded the contract to develop the new subdivision. and the plans as pictured below were presented to the city council which approved them. Progress has been made. The roads and infrastructure are complete.
Ten houses are now owner occupied and the neighborhood is growing.
The top of the map below shows Prairie Park Drive as it exits onto East Third Street. It exits onto Rita Court at the bottom of the picture (south). As the tax revenue increases, those funds will be paid to the TIF district and will be used to reimburse the contractor for the roads and infrastructure costs, keeping the price of the lots to a minimum. For more information please contact Joe Rosengren of Rock River Lumber & Grain, 815-537-5131, www.rockriverag.com. Mr. Paul Hummel, Public Works Director of Prophetstown, 815-537-5214 could answer your infrastructure questions. |
