Prophetstown has small to mid-size manufacturing facilities  employing approximately 400 full time workers. Genesis III manufactures hammers for the Hammer Mill industry, primarily in the agriculture sector.  The plant employs 7 people, but hopes to expand in the near future.  815-537-7900
	Penberthy Manufacturing employs approximately 150, manufacturing gauges, valves, and precision products for the oil industry. The facility has recently been purchased by  Tyco International.  http://www.penberthy-online.com/
Sterling Multi-Products and Sterling Medical Products operates two facilities producing disposable medical instruments and metal products for the fast food industry. They hold the patent on the multi-head malt mixer. It’s 90+ employees also package medical kits and staff a ”job shop”.
	Prophet Gear manufactures medium and fine pitch gears for a host of manufacturers. It employ approximately 24 full time people.
American Gear with it’s approximately 16 full time employees, produces fine and medium pitched gears and houses a job shop with production capabilities. amgear@essex1.com
